Nidra tandra krodh alasya is the 398^th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita. This song is the fourth in a series of six chronological songs that briefly retell Sarkar's rich children's story, The Golden Lotus of the Blue Sea. Each song amplifies metaphorical elements and aspects of the plot.

After being defeated by the fairy, The princes went to the back country. A winged horse they sought to procure; Without it, hard indeed would be the fairy's capture. Inflated with royal vanity, they didn't heed the needs of suffering human beings. They couldn't win the love of their hearts. They lost their common sense due to the spell of vanity. They lost their intellect, and were finally tricked into defeat in their quest, and they became captives of the demon. They languished away in a dark prison cell.
