Paoya na paoyay sukhe duhkhe hay is the 384th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Páoyá ná páoyáy sukhe duhkhe háy
Din cale jáy akáje
Phúlera cáripáshe bhramará kii je áshe
Gunguniye áse kii láje

Sabára priyatama sabáre bhuláye
Marmamájháre tháko je lukáye
Bhitare náhi cái báhire tákái
Kastúriimrga sama je

Jáhárá thákibe ná táder áshepáshe
Ghúre mari miche kena je kii áshe
Moha bheuṋge dáo more t́ene náo
Ámáre rákho tava sakáshe

Amidst attainments days pass away in fruitless action.
Sometimes i attain something, sometimes I don't.
Sometimes i feel happy and sometimes sad.

Black bees buzz around the flowers
in expectant anticipation.
You are the dearest of all.
You remain in the inner most heart hidden,
unknown to all.

We fail to seek you within,
but look for you outside,
just like the musk deer search for their own fragrance.
We blindly move around those
who won't stay here long,
expecting something permanent.

Destroy my illusion.
Take me closer to you.
Draw me to you and keep me close.
