Path bhule jadi is the 2035th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Path bhule jadi
Ele mor gharete
Ná cáo jadio
Habe theke jete

Hay ni pradiip jválá hay niko málá gáṋthá[nb 2]
Tomár vediite sájái ni phuler thálá
Shudhu man ceyechilo bhálabesechilo
Tái bujhi ele krpá karite

Kabhu ár tomáre náhi ámi dobo jete
Argal diye rekhe dobo mor marmete
Sukhe duhkhe shoke kánná hásite
Mete rabo tomáre dekhite dekhite

O lord,
having missed the path,
if you come to my home,
even if you do not want,
stay for a while.

I could not kindle the welcome lamp,
could not thread the garland,
and could not decorate your altar with floral tray.
Only my mind desired and loved,
hence, i understood that you came simply by granting grace.
I shall never let you go away anymore.

I shall keep the door of my inner mind bolted.
During my pleasure, sorrow, agony, cries and smiles,
I shall remain frenzied looking at you.

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ Disregarding spelling errors, the Bengali source is divided as to the order of these last two words. The meaning is essentially the same, but what is given here might be more consistent and poetic.
