আলোতে ছায়াতে সবার হিয়াতে
ভালবাসা ভরি পলে বিপলেতে
শিশুর হাসিতে জ্যোৎস্নারাশিতে

Fires of the forest I smother;
Fires of the mind I don't ignite.

I pour forth streams of nectar in the moonlight
and in the smiles of children.
I never forget to do it.

  2. ^ Specifically, this line refers to "the month of Phalgun", when spring is ushered in with the festival variably called Holi, Dolyatra, or Vasantotsava. In this festival, people play with colors, notably a red dye known as abir or phag. This spring festival is most commonly celebrated on the full moon day of Phalgun.
