O lord!
In a springtime garden, at a remote psychic niche,
With what expectation
With which hope a fire You ignited?
did you kindle fire
Not a thing did You desire,
in the deep recess of my mind?
But not tiny was what's left behind...
Making it bloom
And not a thing You told, even by hint.
like a garden in spring.

You never desire anything.
You never leave any wont unfulfilled.
Produce a little gesture,
tell me what for it all happened.

You smilingly came into the garden of pala'sh trees.
You looked on from below the sha'lmalii tree.
Your eyes lingered on towards the mango buds,
and filled the air with feeling.

O unknown traveler!
You do not remain unrecognised.
In the silent recess of the mind,
You ever come and go.

In search of you
To a smiling [[:wikipedia:Butea monosperma|palash]] arbor You'd come with loving geste.
I started flying in the sky,
And neath [[:wikipedia:Cochlospermum religiosum|silk-cotton trees]] they had peered a-frequent,
ever streching out my wings.
Mango buds, both eyes trained in Your direction...
Into the air You infused imagination.

For, it is not merely the sky
Oh the Unknown Traveler, You are never unfamiliar;
that i want close to me.
In a lonely niche of mind, You reside, forced to go often.
To find You, I fly up to the sky, wings outspread;
Your not wanting to be close, I look to the heavens.

Phaguner upavane maner gahan kone is the 1931st song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Pháguner upavane maner gahan końe
Águn jváliyá dile kii áshe
Cáo niko kona kichu
Chot́a ni kichuri pichu
Kao ni kona kichu ábháse

Lásye esechile smita palásher vane
Shálmalii tarutale ceyechilo kśańe kśańe
Ámramukul páne rekhe dut́i nayane
Bhávaná bhariye dile vátáse

Ajáná pathik tumi nao kabhu acená
Maner nibhrta końe kare tháko ánágoná
Tomáre khuṋjite nabhe uŕe cali mele d́áná
Káche náhi ceye cái ákáshe

In a springtime garden, at a remote psychic niche,
With which hope a fire You ignited?
Not a thing did You desire,
But not tiny was what's left behind...
And not a thing You told, even by hint.

To a smiling palash arbor You'd come with loving geste.
And neath silk-cotton trees they had peered a-frequent,
Mango buds, both eyes trained in Your direction...
Into the air You infused imagination.

Oh the Unknown Traveler, You are never unfamiliar;
In a lonely niche of mind, You reside, forced to go often.
To find You, I fly up to the sky, wings outspread;
Your not wanting to be close, I look to the heavens.
