Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Phúlera vanete bhramará eseche
Gunguniye kii kathá kayeche
Se je cáhe shudhu phúlera sab madhu
Báki jáhá kichu phele rekheche

Jáhá chilo d́háká kuṋŕira gahane
Ati sajatane ati gopane
Nimeśe sei madhu niyeche nihsheśe
Niye nevár kathá jániye diyeche

Suvás chilo mákhá reńute reńute
Madhu nite giye suvás geche sáthe
Phúler sab reńu mekheche gáyete
Mekhe nevár kathá káńe shuniyeche

In the flower grove, a bumblebee has entered;
Humming, what does she mean to say?
She merely wants the flowers' entire nectar,
Disregarding all else that may remain.

What was hard to get, hidden by the blossom
Very carefully, very secretly,
Relentlessly that nectar she carries off,
And with the taking makes known the story.

thief of the pollen's sweet fragrance,
fragrance which has vanished
along with its rich nectarial source.
She has coated herself in thick fragrant pollen
and, thus adorned, announces the news to all.
