Ámi diip jvele base áchi
Gahan ráte áṋdhár pathe
Eklá kena tháko
Ámi álo je jvelechi

Urdhva páne ceye ceye
Bhávi tomár kathá
Tárár gáne ákásh cheye
Shuńi tava váratá
Tumi ámár ámi tomár
Sár kathá bujhechi (ámi)

Dhúpe diipe shubhráiṋjane
Puśpa cayan citta vane
Kariyá rekhechi (ámi)

প্রভু তুমি এসো ঘরে
এসো আমার ঘরে
আমি দীপ জ্বেলে বসে আছি
গহন রাতে আঁধার পথে
একলা কেন থাকো
আমি আলো যে জ্বেলেছি

ঊর্ধ্ব পানে চেয়ে চেয়ে
ভাবি তোমার কথা
তারার গানে আকাশ ছেয়ে
শুণি তব বারতা
তুমি আমার আমি তোমার
সার কথা বুঝেছি (আমি)

আসন পেতে মনের কোণে
ধূপে দীপে শুভ্রাঞ্জনে
পুষ্প চয়ন চিত্ত-বনে
করিয়া রেখেছি (আমি)

O lord!
Come to my home!
I am waiting seated
with a kindled lamp.

In the dense night,
on a dark path,
why do you remain alone,
although i have kindled my light?

Always looking upwards,
I think about you.
I hear about you in the songs of stars
that are spread out throughout the sky.

You are mine and i am yours,
this essence i have come to understand.

In the corner of my mind
I have spread a seat for you.
I prepared it with incense,
lamps,
bright marks
and flowers,
that were collected in my mental garden.
