Rúpkathár ek rájá chilo Háste se je jánto ná to Hátete bhar diye jeto Páye kare muŕi kheto Májh ráteri miśt́i rode Pit́h rekhe se pit́he kheto Jibher jore ákh cibota Dáṋte kare ras cúśita T́enis khelár mát́her májhe Jál phele se mách dharita Bhardupure bhúter bhaye Jaler niice lukiye jeto Báic khelár naoko caŕe Dúr ákáshe háoyá kheto Kájer samay cokht́i buje Mat́ká mere nák d́ákáto	রূপকথার এক রাজা ছিলো হাসতে সে যে জানতো না তো হাতেতে ভর দিয়ে যেতো পায়ে করে মুড়ি খেতো মাঝ রাতেরই মিষ্টি রোদে পিঠ রেখে সে পিঠে খেতো জিভের জোরে আখ চিবোত দাঁতে করে রস চূষিত টেনেস খেলার মাঠের মাঝে জাল ফেলে সে মাছ ধরিত ভরদুপুরে ভূতের ভয়ে জলের নীচে লুকিয়ে যেতো বাইচ খেলার নৌকো চড়ে দূর আকাশে হাওয়া খেতো কাজের সময় চোখটি বুজে মটকা মেরে নাক ডাকাতো	Once there lived a fairy tale king who knew not how to smile. He walked on his hands ate puffed rice with his toes and openly snacked on delicious cakes with his back to the midnight sun. He chewed cane with his tongue sucked its juice with his teeth and cast his net in the tennis court to capture succulent fish. In the light of midday underwater He would hide in fear of ghastly ghosts, and racing speed boats to distant skies He would fly for a breath of pleasant air. While others worked hard he would close his eyes and very contentedly snore.
