Sei svapnera deshe se niilsayare is the 400th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2] This song is the last in a series of six chronological songs that briefly retell Sarkar's rich children's story, The Golden Lotus of the Blue Sea. Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

(Sei) Svapnera deshe se niilsáyare
Ábár phut́eche svarńakamala
Madhura hásite máyámaya cite
Spandita halo niilodadhi jala

Rákára álote tári suvásete
Haoyá bhese cale kon ajánáte
Manera randhre sei surabhite
Háráno hiyár sandhán dite
Parii uŕe jáy cakradháráy
Liilá lálasáy nite shatadal

Kumár pakśiiráje basechilo
Parii phul nite uŕe cale elo
Parii uŕe cale kumáro je cale
Uŕe uŕe parii halo je vikala

Dhará paŕe parii bhaye káṋpiteche
Tharathara pákhá kśamá cáhiteche
E páper kona kśamá náhi áche
Kumár kahiche drŕha avicala

Devatára pújá curite habe ná
Sat karmete satpathe calo

In the blue sea at that dreamland,
A gold lotus has blossomed again.
With dulcet, spellbinding laughter,
It sends ripples across the blue waters.

In the late moonlight, with only its fragrance,
To parts unknown a breeze drifts off.
It pierces minds with that sweet scent
To pass the news on to hearts that are lost.
A fairy goes flying and circles around,
With covetous plot the lotus to abduct.

A prince had sat upon a winged horse
When the fairy flew in to take the flower.
The fairy flies away, and the prince does follow;
Flying and flying, the fairy was worn out.

On getting caught, the fairy was trembling in fear;
Wings flapping furiously, she implored pardon.
"For this sin there is no leniency,"
Replied the prince with firm resolution.

"Theft won't be condoned for worship of a deity;
Move on the path of righteousness with noble deeds."
