Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Shárada nishiithe tomáte ámáte
Smita shepháliite paricay
Raiṋjitádhare báre báre
Já karechile tá bholár nay

Sáthe chilo tava mohana báṋshit́i
Liilámay ucchal áṋkhi dut́i
Je báṋshite vishva nrtyarata
Je áṋkhite dhará mádhuriimay

Tárpar katakál ket́e geche
Kata niiháriká táraká hayeche
Kata kii eseche kata kii sareche
Ájio se smrti surabhimay

O lord, in the winter night,
we were introduced to each other
under smiling shefa’lii.
Your performance with coloured lips
again and again is unforgettable.
Along with you was Your charming flute,
and both your eyes were vibrant with liila’,
the divine game. the flute by which the world
is engaged in dance, and the eyes by which
the earth is full of sweetness.
after which how much time has passed,
how many nebula became stars,
how many came and how many moved away,
even today that memory is full of fragrance.
