With the ankle-bell of dry leaves,
Ankle-bells of dried leaves on its feet,
a storm arose in the southwest.
A gusty wind from the southwest has appeared,
It came carrying the northeasterly resonance of vis'a'n'a.
Its clarion facing northeast
With the fragrance of the night jasmine,
With music of calamity.
and the rhythm of palm and tama'l trees,
it came that night with great impact,
under the stern eyebrows of the god of death.

From beyond praise and condemnation,
In company with beat of trees, persimmon and palmyra,
the storm frenzied in the flow of intoxication.
On that night the tuberoses
Through the gaps of dark clouds
Fall demolished in great slaughter,
pierced the double chariot in the flow of effulgence.
Under the grimace of Shiva Ferocious.

Keeping aloof from blame or praise,
The hurricane has run amuck, intoxication-swayed.
But inside the black clouds' many gaps,
Is the light-stream's chariot in single combat.

Shukno patar nupur paye is the 1540th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Shukno pátár núpur páye
Jhaŕ eseche naerte
Iisháneri viśáń niye
Pralayauṋkar sauṋgiite

Tál tamáliir táler sáthe
Rajaniigandhá je ráte
Bheuṋge paŕe mahágháte
Mahákáler bhrúkut́ite

Nindá stutir úrdhve theke
Jhaŕ meteche neshár jhoṋke
Kálo megher pháṋke pháṋke
Álodhárár dvaerathe

Ankle-bells of dried leaves on its feet,
A gusty wind from the southwest has appeared,
Its clarion facing northeast
With music of calamity.

In company with beat of trees, persimmon and palmyra,
On that night the tuberoses
Fall demolished in great slaughter,
Under the grimace of Shiva Ferocious.

Keeping aloof from blame or praise,
The hurricane has run amuck, intoxication-swayed.
But inside the black clouds' many gaps,
Is the light-stream's chariot in single combat.
