My everclosest companion
In a dream He was near.
was near me in dream.
He left saying He'd reappear,
He went away, saying he would return,
But my Sweetheart did not come again.
but he did not yet come back.
In a dream He was near.
He is such a distant friend.
He simply took my everything;
And in return He gave me nothing.

That distant friend had taken away only,
In my mental bud, as much sweetness as was there,
without giving anything in return.
With Him He did take it all, leaving me empty.
Whatever honey was inside my mind,
Hope's lamp He lit while going...
He took it away all.
Was it His duplicity?

The lamp of hope that he gave me,
Even today, recalling this, my heart arises, musing:
was it but a mere delusion?
Does He truly love me, near to me is He coming?

I will not cherish Him nor will I talk of Him;
Remembering that,
But to keep forgetting Him, that I cannot do.
my heart gets agitated even today.
In a dream He was near;
Who knows whether he loves me or not,
He left saying He'd reappear,
whether he comes to me or not?
But my Shining One, He came no more.

I may stop loving him,
I may stop talking to him,
but i am unable to forget him.
He was in dream,
and went away with the assurance of again returning.
But that effulgent entity did not come.
