Surdas

Blind from birth and neglected, he blazed the trail of devotion. --Abhidevananda (talk) 01:51, 25 February 2019 (GMT)

There is a lot of double-meaning in this song. But it is important to know that Surdas was born in Braj (presumably in the vicinity of Delhi-Agra) and that he gave his poems in Braja-Bhasa (a vernacular dialect not appreciated by the Samskrta and Persian purists). --Abhidevananda (talk) 01:52, 25 February 2019 (GMT)
