Anandamurti starts the discourse by saying that "Pranava" is the movement which leads Human Beings towards self realisation. He then explains that in this movement its necessary to seek self knoweledge ("Veda"), undergo suffering to achieve the goal ("Tapah"), long for the Supreme (“Icchantum”) and see everyone and everything as an expression of Brahma (“Brahmacaryaiṋcaranti”). Anandamurti goes on explaining the meaning of the controlling word “Aum".<ref name="AV1"/>
