The Process of Initiation is the second chapter of Ananda Marga Caryacarya Part 1. In this chapter Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar described how a child should be initiated in Nama Mantra.

Synopsis

Sarkar told, when a child will be five years old and will gain some mental awareness, he will need to be initiated in Nama Mantra (the initial process of meditation). A child has to be taught to sit in padmasana (lotus posture), but instead of interlocking the fingers, they may rest one palm upon the other; and keep the spine erect. They will also be taught and instructed to imagine that everything around him or her is Brahma.

When the child will be of twelve years old, he or she will be initiated by an Ananda Marga acarya/a and he/she will be taught Sadharana Yoga and at sixteen or afterwards, they should take initiation in Sahaja Yoga.

The Purodhas may consider imparting lessons in Vishesa Yoga to some initiates who will have special desire to learn higher yoga.
