Udvel man balo kakhan
Dekhbo álo áshár

Áṋkhipáte tandrá je nái
Shajyákańt́aka sama pái
Udvelatáy ghure beŕái
Tomáy káche páoyár

Maner májhe ek bhávanái
Shudhu ámár áche
Se bhávaná mukta karo
Eso ámár káche
Cáṋder áloy sudhá ná pái
Madhute madhuratá nái
Eker ghore áchi sadái
Se ek priya sabár

তোমার আসার পথ চেয়ে
দিন চলে' যায় আমার
উদ্বেল মন বলো কখন
দেখব আলো আশার

আঁখিপাতে তন্দ্রা যে নাই
শয্যাকণ্টক সম পাই
উদ্বেলতায় ঘুরে' বেড়াই
তোমায় কাছে পাওয়ার

মনের মাঝে এক ভাবনাই
শুধু আমার আছে
সে ভাবনা মুক্ত করো
এসো আমার কাছে
চাঁদের আলোয় সুধা না পাই
মধুতে মধুরতা নাই
একের ঘোরে আছি সদাই
সে এক প্রিয় সবার

Having watched Your arrival path
My days they go by.
The mind is effusive; when, pray tell,
Will I see hope's ray of light?

On eyelids there's no urge to sleep;
The bed I find it thorny.
I wander with anxiety;
For getting You close by.

Just one concern is within psyche,

Kindly free me of that worry;

From the moon's light no nectar do I glean;
And inside honey no sweetness is there.
