Tomar tarei mala gantha is the 1586th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomár tarei málá gáṋthá
Bhává shudhu tomár kathá
Tumi maner maiṋjúśáte
Upce paŕá madhuratá

Din áne tomár váratá
Ráter máyáy tava snigdhatá
Úśá sandhyá madhuchandá
Tomár giiti[nb 2] sure sádhá

Tumi cháŕá ár keha nái
Ádir ágeo tomáke pái
Sheśer sheśeo háso sadái
Dúr alakár he devatá

O lord,
I threaded my garland for you only
and thought about you only.

You are the overflowing sweetness
in my mental casket.

The day brings your message.
The play of night brings your softness.
The dusk and the dawn
bring your sweet rhythm and well-rehearsed songs.

There exists no entity other than you.
Even before the beginning,
I find you.
And at the end of the end,
I witness you, ever smiling.

O divinity of the distant heaven!

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ The latest Bengali text[1] gives giitir instead of giiti, as is found in the earlier versions and the Sargam. Here the word giiti is retained.
