O lord, you went giving love
To remain ignoring You I've desired;
and i wanted to forget you.
You've continued giving fondness.
my life is taking your meditation,
In the thought of You alone is my life;
in that life you dance.
You dance within that existence.
you have never forgotten me,

continued pouring overwhelmingly
Never did You stay forgetting me;
the sweet love.
Love You've kept pouring sweetly and profusely.
you filled me with rhythm and melody,
With cadence and melody, You've gone on filling me;
staying in both light and darkness.
You are in both light and darkness.
i remained thinking with ignorance,

covered with fog of ego.
Thinking I am at a distance, there was ignorance;
i was surrounded
There was envelopment by the fog of egotism.
with the stream of inertia,
A stream of worldliness had encircled,
you removed it away.
But You have removed it.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomáre bhuliyá thákite ceyechi
Tumi bhálabásá diye gecho
Tomári manane ámár jiivan
Se jiivane tumi náco

Kabhu tumi bhule tháko ni ámáre
Priiti d́hele gecho ajhore madhure
Chande o sure bhare gecho more
Áloke áṋdháre ácho

Dúre áchi bhává ajiṋatá chilo
Asmitá kuyásháte d́háká chilo
Jaŕatár srota ghire phelechilo
Tumi táre sariyecho

To remain ignoring You I've desired;
You've continued giving fondness.
In the thought of You alone is my life;
You dance within that existence.

Never did You stay forgetting me;
Love You've kept pouring sweetly and profusely.
With cadence and melody, You've gone on filling me;
You are in both light and darkness.

Thinking I am at a distance, there was ignorance;
There was envelopment by the fog of egotism.
A stream of worldliness had encircled,
But You have removed it.
