You are the goal of my meditation.
You are the object of my meditation—
You are the dearest of my soul.
You are the beloved of my life.
For Your sake, I take birth time after time,
Coming and going, my most dearly prized One.

For you alone in each generation
Near to You I want to be incessantly;
I return again & again.
Without pause, on Your path do I proceed.
As I know life's meaning to be You only,
It is You that I esteem more than everything.

I always want to have you with me.
Why stay afar; say what You want from me...
My restless mind goes out towards you.
With cosmic game's deceit, why cause me to weep?
I know that you are the only entity
But if You take delight compelling tears,
& that you are my dearest one:
Then make me cry for Thee.
the essence of my existence.

What do you desire?
What do you want,
remaining so distant from me?
Why do you play with me?

I am weeping;
is that what you want?
If that gives you pleasure,
then i will go on weeping.

Tumi amar dhyaner dhyeya is the 1017th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tumi ámár dhyáner dhyeya
Tumi ámár práńera priya
Tomára lágiyá janame janame
Ásá jáoyá he varańiiya

Satata tomáre káche cái ámi
Tomári pathe cali náhi thámi
Tomárei sár baliyái jáni
Sab ceye ádarańiiya (tumi)

Kena dúre tháka balo kii bá cáo
Liiláchale kena ámáre káṋdáo
Káṋdáiyá jadi ánanda páo
Tomá tare káṋdite dio

You are the object of my meditation—
You are the beloved of my life.
For Your sake, I take birth time after time,
Coming and going, my most dearly prized One.

Near to You I want to be incessantly;
Without pause, on Your path do I proceed.
As I know life's meaning to be You only,
It is You that I esteem more than everything.

Why stay afar; say what You want from me...
With cosmic game's deceit, why cause me to weep?
But if You take delight compelling tears,
Then make me cry for Thee.
