O lord, you had come, smiled softly,
You had come, You had smiled tenderly,
pouring heavenly nectar.
Pouring nectar heavenly.
but still I never looked at and communicated,
I looked not back, nothing I said;
as i was oblivious due to infatuation.
Infatuated, inattentive had I been.
i had bolted the door

and stayed in the corner of the house,
Setting the latch, I was in a niche of dwelling;
thinking secretly of my own affairs.
Privately, I have thought of myself only.
always I wanted respect in the mind,
A high ranking I've desired constantly in psyche,
on the bank of dark river.
On the bank of a dark stream.
you went away leaving the load of love.

those flow of love dances again and again.
Away You went, affection's yoke having left;
by the swing of that vibration,
Neath that love, often the world dances.
colourful flowers would bloom compulsorily.
Irresistibly, a painted flower blossoms,
Swaying to the pulse of Him only.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tumi esechile mrdu hesechile
Alakár sudhá d́hele'
(Ámi) Phire tákái ni katháo kai ni
Chilum mohete bhule

Argal diye chinu grhakońe
Nijer kathái bhevechi gopane
Pratiśt́há ceyechi niyata mane
Krśńá nadiir kúle

Tumi cale gele rekhe priitibhár
Je priitite dhará náce báre bár
Rauṋin kusum phot́e anivár
Tári spandane dule

You had come, You had smiled tenderly,
Pouring nectar heavenly.
I looked not back, nothing I said;
Infatuated, inattentive had I been.

Setting the latch, I was in a niche of dwelling;
Privately, I have thought of myself only.
A high ranking I've desired constantly in psyche,
On the bank of a dark stream.

Away You went, affection's yoke having left;
Neath that love, often the world dances.
Irresistibly, a painted flower blossoms,
Swaying to the pulse of Him only.
