O lord, when you were alone
+
When You had been all alone,
and nobody has come onto the earth.
+
On the earth none else appeared.
when in front of you there was none,
+
In front of You had been no one,
looking at whom something could have been told.
+
On seeing whom gets told something.
there was no sky and air, there was no
+

sa'dhana' (effort) or attainable.
+
Sky and wind, there had been none;
in the silence of total detachment,
+
Absent a capacity, there was no endeavor.
where shall You stay?
+
In the hush, completely unaccompanied,
to remove away the inconvenience
+
Doing what, You will reside where?
of remaining in isolation,
+

You became many from One and dance restlessly.
+
Seclusion's disadvantages
 +
Are banished when there be profusion.
 +
You'd been one; You've become many–
 +
With a passion You are dancing.

Tumi jakhan ekla chile is the 2169th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tumi jakhan eklá chile
Ár keu áse ni dharáy
Sámne tomár keu chilo ná
Jáke dekhe kichu balá jáy

Ákásh vátás keu chilo ná
Ná sádhya ná chilo sádhaná
Nihsauṋgeri niiravatáy
Kii kare thákbe tumi kotháy

Nirjanatár asuvidhá
Dúr karite hale bahudhá
Ek chile anek hayecho
Naccho ucchalatáy

When You had been all alone,
On the earth none else appeared.
In front of You had been no one,
On seeing whom gets told something.

Sky and wind, there had been none;
Absent a capacity, there was no endeavor.
In the hush, completely unaccompanied,
Doing what, You will reside where?

Seclusion's disadvantages
Are banished when there be profusion.
You'd been one; You've become many–
With a passion You are dancing.
