O lord,
Onto street-dust You'd alit
You appeared before me,
Just to lift me up.
bending down to the dust of the path,
For me You had done so much;
only to lift me up.
To forget You I have wished.

You did so much for me,
Though path was hindered, light was lavished;
and yet, i wanted to forget you.
Crevice of pride was on both sides.
Leaving the way, I fell into pit;
And cloth was bound around both eyes.

My path was obstructed,
You'd told me to fix gaze on the target...
all light had vanished,
With whole heart to love it.
my ego totally went down.
Forgetting the goal, I've drowned in delusion,

I've run amuck after transitory happiness.
Losing my path,
I lay in a pit,
tying both my eyes with cloth.

You told me to look at the aim
and to love you wholeheartedly.

Having forgotten my goal,
I used to enjoy delusions,
intoxicated in momentary pleasures.
