Álo d́ube jáy áṋdhár ghanáy
Din kothá háráy

Súrja jakhan jegechila
Áṋdháre rauṋ legechila
Súrja d́obár sauṋge sauṋge
Se jáy ajánáy

Saptarauṋer rather pare
Súrja áse shvetámbare
Aruń rauṋe man mátiye
Upar páne cáy

Eso súrja ábár eso
Dharár buke miśt́i heso
Jiiv tomár uśńatá lági
Púb dike tákáy

বন পাহাড়ের আড়াল দিয়ে
সূর্য ডুবে’ যায়
আলো ডুবে’ যায় আঁধার ঘনায়
দিন কোথা’ হারায়

সূর্য যখন জেগেছিল
আঁধারে রঙ লেগেছিল
সূর্য ডোবার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে
সে যায় অজানায়

সপ্তরঙের রথের ‘পরে
সূর্য আসে শ্বেতাম্বরে
অরুণ রঙে মন মাতিয়ে
উপর পানে চায়

এসো সূর্য আবার এসো
ধরার বুকে মিষ্টি হেসো
জীব তোমার উষ্ণতা লাগি’
পূব দিকে তাকায়

Hiding behind the hills and forests,
the sun sets.

The light fades,
and darkness intensifies.
The day becomes lost.

When the sun shone,
darkness turned illuminated,
and yet, with the setting of the sun,
it's memory, too, flew into oblivion.

The sun comes,
riding the seven coloured chariot in white.
Intoxicating the mind with crimson colours,
it rises.

O sun, come this time!
Smile sweetly on this earth.
Living beings await you.
They look towards the east
in search of warmth.
