Virahii hiyá ákáshe cáhiyá
Kár tare tumi base ácha (balo)
Niirava nishiithe cáṋderi sáthe
Kár kathá tumi kahitecha (balo)

Áṋdhár dhará je álo kare dila
Malin man je priitite jinila
Agiit hrday giitite bharila
Tár málá ki go gáṋthiyácha (balo)

Lábh kśati kichu náhi mána tumi
Hiyá bhará priiti shudhu áche jami
Man chot́e tár páne náhi thámi
Járe tumi bhálobásiácha

বিরহী হিয়া আকাশে চাহিয়া
কার তরে তুমি বসে’ আছ (বলো)
নীরব নিশীথে চাঁদেরই সাথে
কার কথা তুমি কহিতেছ (বলো)

আঁধার ধরা যে আলো করে’ দিল
মলিন মন যে প্রীতিতে জিনিল
অগীত হৃদয় গীতিতে ভরিল
তার মালা কি গো গাঁথিয়াছ (বলো)

লাভ-ক্ষতি কিছু নাহি মান তুমি
হিয়া-ভরা প্রীতি শুধু আছে জমি’
মন ছোটে তার পানে নাহি থামি’
যারে তুমি ভালোবাসিয়াছ

With a detached heart,
looking towards the sky,
what do you wait for?

In the silent night,
what do you talk about
with the moon?

The one who illuminated the dark world,
who won the dirty mind with love,
who filled the songless heart with melody...
is it for him you thread a garland?

You consider neither gain nor loss.
Your heart remains fully concentrated
with only his love.
Your mind rushes towards him,
who you love, without pause.
