Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

D́ákáte ásoniko krpáte ele (mor)
D́eke' gechi nija man bhuláte
Bháśáte ásoniko bhávete ele
Stav stuti páreniko t́aláte

Nikat́atama tumi madhuratama
Sab kichu jáno shońo priyatama
Ahamiká kuheliká sariye mama
Prastuta tháko dhará dite

Stav stuti vinati já kichu kari
Tomáre káche pete tuśite hari
Bujhe' mor múŕhatá daenya heri
Mádhurii mákhio mor cetanáte

O Lord, on my call, You never came,
You came only by Your grace.
I continued calling You
only for my self-satisfaction.
Without listening to the language of the call,
You came hearing the inner feelings.
Prayers or solicitations are unable to melt You.
You are the nearest and sweetest.
O Dearest, You know and listen to everything.
Removing the fog of my ego,
You are ever prepared to come into my folds.
Whatever prayers, request, worship I perform,
is for getting You close and satisfying You.
Considering my ignorance, and misery,
smear sweetness into my consciousness.
