O lord, i did not do anything for you,
For You I did not do a bit;
but you do everything for me.
For me You have done everything.
i have poured dirt in Your effulgence,
Upon Your effulgence, sable I have spilled;
but you bring illumination removing the darkness.
Darkness removing, You have brought light-beams.
you have filled trees and creepers with fruits and flowers.

i pick and lift those fruits and flowers.
With fruits and blooms, the plants You've filled,
you have given me with both hands,
But those same fruits and flowers I have repealed.
and i continued to take,
With two hands, You've endowed, I've accepted;
still you continue giving.
Notwithstanding, You have gone on giving.
you have given me knowledge, intellect

and implements for moving on the path.
Knowledge You have given, and understanding;
Having been enriched by your property,
The route You have given, and cash for traveling.
i have been ignoring you only.
By Your wealth, myself, having been enriched,
you go on watching that and smile softly.
I have taken You for granted;
You have kept watching, and You've laughed tenderly.
