In my floral shrub of ma'dhavii flowers,
Swarming in this myrtle grove of mine,
on each bunch of flowers,
Oh dear, why buzz the bumblebees?
why are the bees humming?
In the kadam bower's blue lotus of mind,
Whose light is shining presently?

With whose light
Within the mind a southern breeze has blown;
does the blue lotus
And in that warming wind screwpine have told:
in my mental niipa grove shine?
"Keep awake, keep your eyes peeled today;
The Traveler wants to grant His embrace"

A sandal fragrant breeze
Phalgun has arrived; a fire it has lit
blows in my mind.
Upon the fruitless palash trees of forest.
To this fragrant breeze,
Now the rains have ended with hope fulfilled;
the ketakii flower says:
All the fog is lifted.

"keep awake today,
keep your eyes open,
the unknown traveler longs to be attained".

The spring season has come.
Why then are the red pala'sh flowers
glowing in the forest?

Now, at the end of rains,
all hopes find fulfillment
and all fogs are removed.
