O lord,
About You have I heard a great deal;
I heard much about you,
And still I can't perceive, what a pity!
but i am unable to recognize you,
After thinking much, this alone have I conceived:
what a pity!
There is no way without Your mercy.

After much thinking,
What does a drop achieve; will it attain the ocean?
this much only could i understand:
Having gone to get, it but dissolves therein.
to your grace
The glow of a lamp, to hold the moon,
there is no alternative.
Into moonlight will it go and get subsumed.

How can a drop attain the ocean?
Between You and me, throughout the ages,
It cannot but dissolve into it.
Known or unknown, there is love...

That very love which You awaken,
If the light of a lamp wishes to hold the moon,
Ignorance replacing with eternal knowledge.
it has no alternative but to become the moonlight itself.
The love between you and me,
knowingly or unknowingly
has lasted for ages.

The love you awaken
removes all ignorance
and bestows eternal knowledge.
