O lord,
When You just came, why did You go away?
having come into my life,
Why did You go, please say.
why did you again leave?
Kindly do say.
Please tell me.
You left me tied with hope's floral string;
My eyes were full of tears.

You kept me tied to the floral thread of hope,
In a stony prison was I confined,
and going away, left me stranded with tearful eyes.
But mid the stone a flower I made rise.
That flower mine I gave to Thee;
My heart was overflowing.

I was bound in the stone prison (of materialism),
Oh my age-old Companion,
yet, in the stones itself i bloomed a flower.
Earth's endless stream of ambrosia,

In fire and air, in all entities,
That flower i offered to you,
With life's essence You are moving.
with all my heart.

O eternal companion of mine
from beginingless time,
You are the stream of infinite nectar on this earth.
In fire and in air,
in all entities,
You remain vibrant with vigour.
