You are the moonlight
Within the firefly You are light of the moon;
in the tiny glowworm.
That is why I have been cherishing You.
Disseminating luster, making everybody bright,
You remove the darkness, inside and outside.

Therefore, i have fallen in love with you.
Utter gloom had surrounded the realm uncreated;
From the gloom was getting spewed gloom into darkness.
Upon that very gloom You applied ointment of light–
Even now You keep pouring out sweetness of life.

Radiating your divine effulgence,
In that inauspicious realm when there was not a thing,
illuminating entities all around,
Birth or death, day or night, which of them would be?
You dispel darkness
Lord, You alone dwelt in that realm beyond bounds of time–
from within and from without.
You will remain; You will go on pouring out more light.

When there was cimmerian darkness all over
and the universe was nonexistent,
when heaps of static blackness constantly used to be ejected,
into the gloom of nothingness,
You applied the soothing balm of your divine glow.

Since then, even to this day
You have been pouring out
the sweet nectar of your heart non-stop.

When there was nothing in the universe
in time immemorial,
when nothing like life, death, day or night existed,
Only you,
O lord,
the timeless entity,
were present.

You would continue to exist
and move on in an eternal flow.
