O lord,
You had arrived in the garden of my psyche;
You came into my mental garden
I was waiting apathetically.
at the time when i was unmindfully sitting in it.
At my face You had peered;
Who knows what I was thinking!

You looked at me,
In between You and me, the impasse,
but no one knows
It was not any block hard-and-fast.
what i may have been thinking of.
Yet, I was not able to come near;
From afar I've gone on in a pique.

Between you and me,
Tranquil was Your countenance;
no diehard obstruction prevailed.
My two eyes were tear-drenched.
And yet, i could not approach you,
But I could not wipe my eyes;
but due to vanity, remained far.
With Your heart I could not unite.

Your face was peaceful,
my pair of eyes was full of tears.
And yet, i could not wipe away these tears,
I could not merge in you.
