O lord,
I fathom not what kind of mind is Thine;
how your mind works, i cannot understand.
You keep on neglecting even the known person.
Even after recognizing, you pretend to forget or ignore.
Ever I cry bitterly, holding hope in bosom,
I die crying, holding hope inside,
That You look on with opened eyes.
that you would look at me with open eyes.

The bough of a mango tree is bowed down with load.
Bent by its load, the bough of mango tree,
How much quality of politeness it has learnt.
How much it has studied the quality of pliancy!
Make me more polite than that.
Still more stooped down than it please make me;
Give me the dust of your feet.
Bathe me in the dust from Your feet.

Even if you forget, there is no harm.
So remain neglecting me, no harm is there in it;
Keep me in your mind.
Bear in mind, I proclaim no prayer on this.
That prayer also,
But only guard me near, Your eyes do not cover;
I am not making.
That pain You gave, make me disremember.

Just keep me close,
and do not close your eyes;
and, make me forget the pain that you gave.
