Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Dúrera sakhá (mor)
Eso káche eso
Dúre kena ácho
Ácho eká

Vijaya dundubhi bájiche tomári
Aharaha shuńi tumi je sabári
Tava ágaman lági divánishi áchi jági
Sahe ná e vyathá niye tháká

Megh cale jáy bhese parvatashikhare
Sindhu theke tháke dúre bahu dúre
Vári rúpe varaśiyá punah áse phiriyá
Sindhura antare
Tumio theko ná dúre
Nikat́e eso go phire
Shuru hok kách theke dekhá

O my distant friend, come close,
why do you remain far away and alone?

Your victory bugle resounds,
constantly announcing that you belong to all.
Day and night, i am awake for your arrival.
I am unable to bear this pain any longer.

Clouds drift away
over mountain peaks, and, in the form of water,
return back to the sea.

Do not stay afar, come close.
Let our meeting start in proximity.
