Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Kata janamer pratiikśá pare
Tava ágaman hayeche
Tava ágaman hayeche ájike
Tava ágaman hayeche

Kata phulamálá shukáiyá geche
Kata phulakali jhareche

Katai divas káṋdiyá ket́eche
Kata ná jáminii háráiyá geche
Dukúl chápiyá hiyá upaciyá
(Áj) Práńer devatá eseche

Pábo ki ná pábo áshá nirásháy
Kata jug mor vrthá cale jáy
(Jabe) Páboi páboi drd́hatá jegeche
Tabei duyár khuleche
Tava baddha duyár khuleche

After waiting so many lifetimes,
Your advent has occurred.
Today, Your advent has occurred.
Your advent has occurred.

How many garlands of flowers have withered.
How many flower buds have fallen.

How many days have passed in weeping;
How many nights have been lost.
Today, overflowing the banks of my heart,
The Lord of life has come – You have arrived.

How many decades have passed in vain,
Tossed between hope and despair of attainment.
Only when I was certain that I would attain You,
Then Your door was opened
Then Your closed door was opened.
