Apsarárá kon se deshe jáy
Maneri mańikot́háy sur jhariye
Keno dolá deya

Bháse se kiser ásháy,
Ke jáne kár iisháráy
Kon álo lágalo bhálo
Járe se paráń bhare cáy,

Ke go se dúrer priya
Sudúreo ákarśańiiya
Se sudhá ei vasudhá
Nite giye nijeke háráy

D́áke ná keno káche
Keno se dúre rayeche
Dúrer priya hiyáy nio
Maneri mańi mainjúśáy

আকাশে শূন্যে ভেসে' অপ্সরারা
কোন্‌ সে দেশে যায়
মনেরই মণিকোঠায় সুর ঝরিয়ে
কেন দোলা দেয়

ভাসে যে কিসের আশায়
কে জানে কা'র ঈশারায়
কোন আলো লাগলো ভালো
যা'রে সে পরাগ ভরে' চায়

কে গো সে দূরের প্রিয়
সুদূরেও আকর্ষণীয়
যে সুধা এ বসুধা
নিতে গিয়ে নিজেকে হারায়

ডাকে না কেন কাছে
কেন সে সুদূরে রয়েছে
দূরের প্রিয় হিয়ায় নিও
মনেরই মণিমঞ্জুষায়

In the void of the sky,
the engels are soaring,
to what place are they going?
Flowing fountain of melody
in the mental casket,
why oscillations come?
With what expectations
are they floating,
who knows under whose inspiration
and indication?
Which brilliance they liked
towards which they are going
overwhelmingly.
Who is their dear at the distance,
who attracts them from a distance?
Losing oneself, they have gone
to fetch that nectar to the earth.
Why does not He call close?
Why does He stay far?
That distant Dear has taken the heart.
