Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Nayane kena ke jáne áji neveche
Shrávańeri jal
Ámáke dúre theke ke kándácche
Vyatháte aviral

Ke go tumi kat́hin hiyá
Bujhate náhi cáo bujhiyá
Ánkhir dháre shata dháre tái ki
Náváo bádaleri d́hal

Tomáke ajuta nami
Buddhir agamya je tumi
Kabhu hási kakhano kándi
Tomár liilá rase ucchal

Today, in the eyes,
who knows why tears are overflowing?
Who is making me cry
with continuous pain
by keeping me away?
Who is that You with hard heart,
who knowing do not want to understand that?
How is it that You
with hundreds of flow bring rain?
I salute You countless times
as You are unknowable with intellect,
restless with Your divine game, liila’,
I sometimes smile and sometimes cry.
