Kena bhálabásile
Kena man mátále

Belá júthikár gandhe bhese áso
Maner madhupe d́eke pulake háso
Tandráhata andhakáro násho
Mane mádhurii mákhále

Jiivaner prati padakśepe ácho
Práńer sphat́ike ujjval karecho
Chande gáne náce mete rayecho
Ucchala smrti jvale

তুমি যদি নাহি এলে
কেন আলো ঝরালে
কেন ফুল ফোটালে
কেন ভালবাসিলে
কেন মন মাতালে

বেলা-যূথিকার গন্ধে ভেসে' আসো
মনের মধুপে ডেকে' পুলকে হাসো
তন্দ্রাহত অন্ধকারও নাশো
মনে মাধুরী মাখালে

জীবনের প্রতি পদক্ষেপে আছো
প্রাণের স্ফটিকে উজ্জ্বল করেছো
ছন্দে গানে নাচে মেতে' রয়েছো
উচ্ছল স্মৃতি জ্বলে

When You did not arrive,
Why did You exude light?
Why did You make blooms rise?
Why did You fondly like?
Why the mind You did excite?

On a scent of belá and júthi jasmines You float in;
Having called the mental bee, with rapture You grin.
Both drowsiness and darkness You rid;
Sweetness did You coat on mind.

At every step of life, You exist;
Heart's crystal, resplendent You've made it.
