O my eternal companion,
Constantly seeking You, I promenade
I have constantly been searching you
In a mental garden, oh my boon companion.
in my mental garden.
Kohl-painted and affection-coated,
My eyes do Thee anticipate.

My decorated and lovesmeared eyes await you.
Every plant is bowed with fruit;
All are kneeling at Your feet.
Fragrant flowers, with drunken passion,
Are wrapped in sweetness, expecting You.

All the trees and creepers
The sandal grove emanates its aroma;
are laden with fruits
The cuckoo sings a melodious tune.
and bow down at your feet.
A gorgeous peacock, anklets ajingle,

Fanning his tail, he dances alone.
The flowers, fragrant with enchanting impulse,
are all covered with sweetness, expecting you.

The sandalwood forest spreads out fragrance
and the cuckoo sings on.

My beautiful peacock rings a jingling sound.
It spreads its tail
and keeps dancing, its lonely dance.

Khunjiya berai tomare sadai is the 548th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Khuṋjiyá beŕái tomáre sadái
Mana-málaiṋce ogo sakhá
Aiṋjana áṋká bhálabása-mákhá
Áṋkhi kare tava pratiikśá

Tarulatá jata phalabháre nata
Sabái tomár carańe ánata
Phulerá suváse madira áveshe
Tava áshe sabe madhu d́háká

Candanavana gandha viláy
Pika kalatáne gán geye jáy
Rúper mayúr bájiye núpur
Kalápa meliyá náce eká

Constantly seeking You, I promenade
In a mental garden, oh my boon companion.
Kohl-painted and affection-coated,
My eyes do Thee anticipate.

Every plant is bowed with fruit;
All are kneeling at Your feet.
Fragrant flowers, with drunken passion,
Are wrapped in sweetness, expecting You.

The sandal grove emanates its aroma;
The cuckoo sings a melodious tune.
A gorgeous peacock, anklets ajingle,
Fanning his tail, he dances alone.
