Prabháter álo kár tare d́hálo
Ke se sujan je bhulálo man
Nide jágarańe susmitánane
Kár anuráge ráuṋá jiivan

Nandanavana nay ki mohan
Párijáta jyoti jinilo ná man
Sab thákiteo hale unman
Cáo anucayaner anurańan

Tomár náhi je kona avasar
Otahprotajoge bhará carácar
Nandita tumi vandita tumi
Tabu ańumane tumi gahan

প্রভাতের আলো কার তরে ঢাল
কে সে সুজন যে ভুলাল মন
নিদে জাগরণে সুস্মিতাননে
কার অনুরাগে রাঙা জীবন

নন্দনবন নয় কি মোহন
পারিজাত-জ্যোতি জিনিল না মন
সব থাকিতেও হলে উন্মন
চাও অনুচয়নের অনুরণন

তোমার নাহি যে কোন অবসর
ওতঃপ্রোতযোগে ভরা চরাচর
নন্দিত তুমি বন্দিত তুমি
তবু অণুমনে তুমি গহন

What for do you pour out morning light,
who is he who has forgotten you from his mind?

During sleep, while awake,
with whose love,
do you colour your life with a smiling face?

In the heavenly garden,
is the charming pa'rija'ta flower not there
to win your mind with its beauty?

With everything available to you,
why do you turn restless,
wanting to select resonances?

You have no choice;
the whole universe (both the living and the nonliving)
is full of personal and collective contact (otah + protah).
O lord,
You are adored and worshiped (externally)
and yet, you exist in the depth of the microcosmic mind.
