My distant, yet most beloved one, calls me,
My far-distant Darling,
attracting me with his flute playing,
He calls and calls to me,
and pulling my heart,
With lure of flute on heart and psyche
during my gaps of thought.
Within rifts of my reverie.

I do not want to respond,
I don't want to give reply,
though he calls me day and night,
But He goes on calling day and night,
through unknown tunes,
With exotic melody at the house of core feeling,
in the core of heart,
Amid boughs of mind blossoming.
and in the flowering branches of my mind.

That friend of mine is beyond the time factor.
That very same darling, He is time-transcendent,
He is sweet, unseen and beyond thought.
Beyond thought, the Unseen Sweetness.
He is the moon to abandon oneself to,
Love's moon, it is only He,
who remains coated with the pollen of love.
Smeared by pollen of ecstasy.

Dureri priyatama is the 1647th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Dúreri priyatama
D́áke ámáy d́áke
Báṋshiir t́áne mane práńe
Bhávanári pháṋke pháṋke

Sáŕá dite cái ná ámi
D́eke cale divasa jámii
Acin sure marmapure
Puśpita manashákhe

Kálátiita sei je baṋdhu
Bhávátiita alakha madhu
Bhálabásár sei to vidhu
Priitir parág mákhe

My far-distant Darling,
He calls and calls to me,
With lure of flute on heart and psyche
Within rifts of my reverie.

I don't want to give reply,
But He goes on calling day and night,
With exotic melody at the house of core feeling,
Amid boughs of mind blossoming.

That very same darling, He is time-transcendent,
Beyond thought, the Unseen Sweetness.
Love's moon, it is only He,
Smeared by pollen of ecstasy.
