Notes
- ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
- ^ Krsna in his early life at Vrndavan.
- ^ In popular mythology, the young Krsna is depicted as a butter-thief. However, the name also applies to Parama Purusa. According to Sarkar: "He will steal away the átman (soul) of a person, and his mind will not know it. Therefore, He is named Mákhanacora. As the cream is the essence of milk, so is the átman of the body. He steals away the átman; so He is Mákhanacora."[3]
