O lord,
Like a flower in full bloom I have yearned for Thee
I longed to find you
On a forest avenue, myself full of honey;
in the fragrance of blooming flowers
But the bumblebee of psyche, it moves on a-humming
and in sweetly scented forest groves.
With a wistful wish unruly.

The honeybee of my mind hums
Hour after hour, they proceed...
as it follows your irresistible call.
Minute and second fade into infinity;
But You did not appear, nor a word did you speak;
I am flooded by a shower of tears.

Hours pass.
Oh Callous One, of what sort is Your acquaintance!
Moments and instants are lost
Why make sport with this my heart?
in the bosom of infinity.
The pain You did not grasp, nor words did You hear;

The daytime passes on the wings of a flight of geese.
And yet, so far you have not come.
Nor have you talked to me.

Floods of tears pour from my eyes.
O heartless one,
what is your true nature?

Why do you play with my mind?
You have not understood my pain.
You have not heard my cries.

The day departs on the wings of flying geese.

Tomare ceyechi phota phule ami is the 1577th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomáre ceyechi phot́á phule ámi
Madhu bhará vanaviithikáy
Mánasa bhriṋga guiṋjari cale
Durnivár eśańáy

Praharer par prahar je jáy
Pal anupal asiime háráy
Tumi ásile ná kathá kahile ná
Bhási ashruri varaśáy

Bedaradii tava kii bá paricay
Kena liilá karo niye e hrday
Vyathá bujhile ná kathá shuńile ná
Belá jáy baláká pákháy

Like a flower in full bloom I have yearned for Thee
On a forest avenue, myself full of honey;
But the bumblebee of psyche, it moves on a-humming
With a wistful wish unruly.

Hour after hour, they proceed...
Minute and second fade into infinity;
But You did not appear, nor a word did you speak;
I am flooded by a shower of tears.

Oh Callous One, of what sort is Your acquaintance!
Why make sport with this my heart?
The pain You did not grasp, nor words did You hear;
The daytime passes on the wings of a flight of geese.
