O lord,
In my throat the power You have given me,
with whatever capacity
With that I keep calling;
You bestowed in my throat,
I keep calling Thee.
I shall continue calling you.
Light's target that You've shown,
Toward it I proceed; along the path I go.

The beacon of light that you showed,
On ocean's other shore the kingdom does appear;
towards it,
Piercing the dark's bosom, its bright splendor beams.
I continue to move on the path.
In everything You exist, so dread I do not feel;
I know there is nothing to fear.

The world that appears
Until now, in the bud is the unshed honey;
on the other side of the ocean,
Until now, in the mind has hung the unsaid speech.
the light that shines,
Within Thee is everyone, happily asleep.
piercing through the bosom of darkness,
As You wished, I receive all of them;
in all that,
To take them I hasten.
You exist...
and therefore, i fear none.

I know that there is no point in fearing.
The honey that remained unconsumed
survives in the bud to this day.

The language that did not fade
still survives in the mind.

Within you,
all exist,
happily sleeping.

By your wish,
I continue to rush,
taking all with me,
in the glory of your attainment.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Mor kańt́he je sámarthya diyecha
Táte d́eke jái
Tomáy d́eke jái
Tumi álor nisháná já dekhiyecha
Táte cale jái path cale jái

Ságarer parapáre je lok bháse
Áṋdhárer buk cire je álo[nb 2] háse
Sabete tumi ácha bhay náhi pái
Jáni bhay pábár kona kichu nái

Je madhu jhareni ájo korake áche
Je bháśá sareni ájo mane rayeche
Tomáte sabái áche sukhe ghumiye áche
Tumi cáilei sabákáre pái
Nite chut́e jái

In my throat the power You have given me,
With that I keep calling;
I keep calling Thee.
Light's target that You've shown,
Toward it I proceed; along the path I go.

On ocean's other shore the kingdom does appear;
Piercing the dark's bosom, its bright splendor beams.
In everything You exist, so dread I do not feel;
I know there is nothing to fear.

Until now, in the bud is the unshed honey;
Until now, in the mind has hung the unsaid speech.
Within Thee is everyone, happily asleep.
As You wished, I receive all of them;
To take them I hasten.
