Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Bujhi ná kii je halo ke jena mane elo
Raun dhariye mane sare gelo
Jánite náhi dilo ki tár kathá chilo
Keno se ei bháve esechilo

Ákáshe chilo álo lagachilo bhálo
Malay pavane kothá se hárálo
Bole gelo more bhúlini tomáre
Jata gláni chilo muche phelo

Din jata jáy se smriti jhalakáy
Ár se mor páshe punah ná elo háy
Ásháy áchi jege basiyá juge juge
Kena e bháve mane náŕá dilo

I could not understand what has happened,
who came into the mind
and colouring the mind moved away.
he did not allow knowing me about him,
why did he come like that.
there was light in the sky,
which appeared pleasant.
into the sandal breeze,
where did he get lost?
He had told me,” i have not forgotten you,
wipe out all the agonies”.
With the passing days, that memory appears,
as he did not come again to me, alas.
with that hope, i am sitting awake
from ages and ages,
why did give a jerk in my mind like that.
