Kena elo se je kena gelo (áj)
Phul phut́iye álo jhariye
Manke mátiye kena dilo

Kata kena mane áse ár jáy
Kona kichuri kinárá ná páy
Bhávite gele man je háráy
Eki liilárase se bhásálo

Táháke bháviyá ánanda pái
Jata klesh-vyathá táhá bhule jái
Táke cháŕá ár kichu náhi cái
Eki priitiráge se ráuṋálo

কেন এলো সে যে কেন গেলো (আজ)
ফুল ফুটিয়ে আলো ঝরিয়ে
মনকে মাতিয়ে কেন দিলো

কত 'কেন' মনে আসে আর যায়
কোন কিছুরই কিনারা না পায়
ভাবিতে গেলে মন যে হারায়
একি লীলারসে সে ভাসালো

তাহাকে ভাবিয়া আনন্দ পাই
যত ক্লেশ-ব্যথা তাহা ভুলে' যাই
তাকে ছাড়া আর কিছু নাহি চাই
একি প্রীতিরাগে সে রাঙালো

Today, why did He come
and why did He go away?
Blooming the flowers,
scattering light
why did He intoxicate the mind?
How many “whys” come and go
in the mind, no shore is found
to that anyway.
Thinking constantly of that,
the mind gets lost.
In what flow of divine game, liila’,
He floated me away?
By thinking of Him, I get bliss,
and thus and all pains and agonies
I forget. Other than Him
I do not want anything,
in what sort of love, He colored me?
