Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Gáne tumi esecho
Bhuvana bhariyá
Nrtyaratá dhará hayeche svayamvará
Tomáre nikat́e heriyá

Tomár ágamane phul phut́eche
Mukuler jata láj sariya geche
Tári madhu buke rákhiyache shudhu
Tomári itikathá smariyá

Tomár ágamane rauṋ heseche
Bhayál amánishá dúre sareche
Ráteri álo náshiyá jata kálo
Tomáre eneche káche dhariyá

With song You have come,
Universe suffusing.
Dance-enamored, the earth has become suitor-choosing,
On beholding You approaching.

A posy has bloomed at Your advent;
Withdrawn has all the bud's shyness...
Within breast has she kept just her nectar,
Reflecting on the story of You only.

Upon Your coming laughed have the pigments;
Fearsome new-moon night afar has left.
Razing all black color, the night's luster,
Yourself has it brought, retaining near.
