Wearing dark eyemark,
Clouds having traced [[:wikipedia:Kohl (cosmetics)|antimony]],
the clouds come today
Today the rain is coming,
providing consolation
Refuge of hearts suffering.
to the bereaved heart.
To a dry bough came verdancy,
On the dry branches,
And the world turned juicy.
greenness came

and the earth became moist.
With beat and tune tear-stream comes down,
the flow of water
Ignoring lightning's frown.
comes with rhythm and melody,
Ever striding in the mind's great house,
ignoring the frightening lightning.
What is the expectation after stretching feet?
it provides hope by gradually taking

forward rhythmic steps into the mental goal.
Seated alone at niche of home, I get by and muse:
sitting alone in the corner of the house,
Whom do I pull close, whom do I discontinue?
i go on thinking, whom to pull closer
Deep inside the psyche with a [[:wikipedia:Megh Malhar|raga of clouds]],
and what to ignore.
Faraway retires the despondency.
in the depth of the mind,
through special cloud invoking melody,
all the disheartening is removed away.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Aiṋjan enke jaladera
Ásiyáche áj varaśá
Kliśt́a práńer bharasá
Shuśka shákháy shyámalimá elo
Dharitrii halo sarasá

Jaladhárá náve chande o sure
Ashani bhrúkut́i upekśá kare
Manamaiṋjile tále tále phele
Carańa báŕáye kii áshá

Eká base grhakońe bheve cali
Káre káche t́áni kárei bá pheli
Maner gabhiire meghmalláre
Dúre sare jáy niráshá

Clouds having traced antimony,
Today the rain is coming,
Refuge of hearts suffering.
To a dry bough came verdancy,
And the world turned juicy.

With beat and tune tear-stream comes down,
Ignoring lightning's frown.
Ever striding in the mind's great house,
What is the expectation after stretching feet?

Seated alone at niche of home, I get by and muse:
Whom do I pull close, whom do I discontinue?
Deep inside the psyche with a raga of clouds,
Faraway retires the despondency.
