Múk alakár vedanáte
Tumi dáṋŕaiyáchile veńu háte
Phuler suváse madhurimá páshe
Shishirsikta pariveshe
Chile ráge raiṋjita adharete

Mamatár váńii elo báhiriyá
Saptalokete gelo spandiyá
Álápe áveshe gáne uthaliyá
Mukharatá elo madhu váte
Chile sudhámákhá dui áṋkhipáte

Alakár dhvani calilo chut́iyá
Tomár carańe paŕilo lut́iyá
Bháśá hárá sabe ásilo jút́iyá
Vyakta haite dyotanáte

আকাশ বাতাস ভরে গিয়েছিলো
মূক অলকার বেদনাতে
তুমি দাঁড়াইয়াছিলে বেণু হাতে
ফুলের সুবাসে মধুরিমা পাশে
শিশিরসিক্ত পরিবেশে
ছিলে রাগে রঞ্জিত অধরেতে

মমতার বাণী এলো বাহিরিয়া
সপ্তলোকেতে গেলো স্পন্দিয়া
আলাপে আবেশে গানে উথলিয়া
মুখরতা এলো মধু বাতে
ছিলে সুধামাখা দুই আঁখিপাতে

অলকার ধ্বনি চলিলো ছুটিয়া
তোমার চরণে পাড়িলো লুটিয়া
ভাষা-হারা সবে আসিলো জুটিয়া
ব্যক্ত হইতে দ্যোতনাতে
ছিলে কঠোরেতে ঢাকা কোমলেতে

The sky and air were filled
with the silent heaven's pain.

With a flute in hand
You stood.

In an atmosphere
of sweet floral fragrance and dewdrops,
You lingered on with red coloured lips.

Vibrating the seven spheres,
You spoke a message of affection.
A song whose tune overflowed with impulse,
reverberated in a sweet breeze.

Your eyes were nectarsmeared.
A heavenly sound rushed out
and fell in surrender unto your feet.

All those whose voice was lost
gathered together
to express themselves through suggestion.

You were in the softness
that is covered with hardness.
