Akashe aj tarar mala is the 1116th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ákáshe áj tárár málá
Maner májhe andhakár
Kár vihane rátri dine
Kleshságar ameya apár

Phuler vane neiko suvás
Candravihiin ákásh udás
Tuhine nei shiitalatá
Svádvihiin madhu asár

Kaláp-hiin mayúr birase
Keṋde bhole práńocchváse
Nrtyacapal carań jugal
Bhuleche chanda ebár

Today,
clusters of stars appear in the sky,
but in my mind, darkness lingers on.

Due to whose absence,
day and night,
an immeasurably immense ocean of agony
has built up?

In the floral garden,
there is no fragrance.
The sky is sullen and without moon.

Ice seems bereft of coolness,
and honey has become tasteless.

The peacock,
losing its beautiful tail,
weeps and cries.

Forsaking vitality,
a wandering,
dancing pair,
has forgotten the rhythm of time.
