Who has come bathing me
In this same fount of effulgence,
with the fountain flow of effulgence,
To make bathe, oh Who came?
carrying the golden crown on the head,
With a gold [[:wikipedia:Topor (headgear)|crown]] on Your pate,
colouring the floral garden?
Onto a flower garden You applied paint.
on seeing i think that

i was about to recognize,
Having met, I think I know, I distinguish
this respectable person,
Him, the respected love-representative.
as representative of love.
To scatter motley mental states,
he comes scattering the ideas of
Arrows You loosed from a rainbow.
different colours,

placing the arrow on the rainbow.
When there were no hues, no tints,
when there was no colour,
This beauty, where had it been hid?
where this beauty was hidden?
And why indeed this Man of light–
why this effulgent entity
Life You filled through color's flambeau.
has filled life with the colourful torch.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Áloker ei jharńádháráy
Snán karáte ke go ele
Sońár t́opar mátháy niye
Phuler vane rauṋ dharále

Dekhe bhávi cini cini
Priitir pratinidhi ini
Rauṋ berauṋer bháv chaŕáte
Rámdhanute shar jujhile

Varńa jakhan náhi chilo
E rúp kotháy lukiyechilo
Kenai bá ei álor puruś
Práń bharále rauṋmashále

In this same fount of effulgence,
To make bathe, oh Who came?
With a gold crown on Your pate,
Onto a flower garden You applied paint.

Having met, I think I know, I distinguish
Him, the respected love-representative.
To scatter motley mental states,
Arrows You loosed from a rainbow.

When there were no hues, no tints,
This beauty, where had it been hid?
And why indeed this Man of light–
Life You filled through color's flambeau.
